Hi I am EllyGene!

I am a Kalamazoo based Technical Theater professional. I have worked in many departments such as Props, Deck Crew, Carpentry, Scenic Paints, and even some Lighting. Currently I am BFA student at Western Michigan University with a Scenic focus.

This past year I have spent a majority of time working as a scenic charge artist, and master carpenter for theater companies in West Michigan. I have had the privilege of working on shows such as Don't let the Pigeon Drive the Bus, John Proctor is the Villain, Dreamgirls, and Jesus Christ Superstar. ​

When not welding, spackling or painting I often find myself behind a rehearsal table as a Stage manger. I have had the privilege working with many teams from Reginal Theater to local middle schools all of which has been wonderful! I love working on all of the different moving pieces it takes to have a polished production come opening night.
